WHY LEARN WITH KENJI
Over my 12 years of teaching Guitar at University, High Schools, music schools, and my own school, I have seen what works and what doesn't work. This is a one of a kind hybrid in person and online teaching curriculum we have built, aimed at tackling many of the shortcomings of current Guitar and Music education, whilst saving you money.

Over the last year and a half, I have been suffering from a nerve injury in my neck, which has caused my pinky and ring finger to stop moving smoothly. This has made me aware of a huge gap in modern guitar teaching:
Nothing is taught about physical technique.
Amazingly, in modern guitar (non classical guitar), almost NOTHING is mentioned about physical technique. I'm talking about posture, hand position etc.
I studied Guitar at University and wasn't taught anything about physical technique, which is probably what has caused this nerve injury in my neck. I don't want the same thing to happen to any of my students.
So I have teamed up with qualified Movement expert Greg Holdaway to create an online video course that ensures that all of our students learn technique that is consistent with neuro-physiology. There's controlled-trial evidence that this Technique training in musicians improves the way they use their body and reduces excess tension, which are known contributors to playing-related pain and overuse injury.

For example, If you want to be able to "Jam along with your friends straight away", I will design a course that trains you to recognise chord progressions, and find the appropriate scale so you can jam with your mates.
